A man larger than life, both literally and figuratively, was Henry Leslie. He was an imposing figure, standing 6’8” but was by the truest definition a gentle giant. Henry had a heart as big as he was.
The size Big Henry’s heart overshadowed any blemishes. He was a major contributor to several charities in this area with a focus on the Methodist Home for Children and Youth. Throughout his adult life Henry would make monetary donations as he could and at Christmas, just like Santa, he would show up with a bag full of toys.
In September of 2010, his family, friends and community lost a dear friend. The Big Henry Fund is dedicated to carrying out his generous example of love and support for underprivileged children. It is a 501c-3 charitable organization and all contributions are tax deductible.
May 15th, 2018 the fund is holding its annual Big Henry Golf Classic. This will be the 7th year and working towards a combined total near $70,000 gifted to The Methodist Home for Children and Youth. So, gather your best buddy’s, a group of co-workers or join a team.
